WordSeoul is a global, multiplayer word-building game for language learners, travellers, and word-lovers everywhere. What began as a simple English–Korean game has grown into a multilingual platform where players can challenge each other, learn naturally, and enjoy the thrill of fast-paced word battles.
Our Mission
Our mission is to make language learning fun, social, and memorable. Traditional study can be repetitive, but games spark curiosity and create real moments of discovery. WordSeoul blends gameplay with language exposure so learning happens naturally while you play.
How the Game Works
In each match, you:
- Build valid words from your 7 letter tiles
- Score points based on word length and difficulty
- Choose the language you want to play in
- Match with other learners or native speakers
- Or practice at your own pace against an AI opponent
WordSeoul currently supports multiple languages, with more planned as the community grows.
Why “WordSeoul”?
Seoul represents culture, creativity, and global connection — everything this game stands for. While WordSeoul now supports many languages, the name reflects its roots and its mission: connecting people across borders through play and language.
Bilingual Exchange
The Bilingual Exchange mode pairs learners with native speakers so both players can help each other. You choose your native and target languages, then play together while each of you sees the game through your own linguistic lens.
AI Practice
Prefer to warm up first? AI Practice lets you play at your own pace against a computer opponent, with multiple difficulty levels. It’s a great way to build vocabulary, experiment with new words, and get comfortable before jumping into multiplayer games.
Privacy & Profiles
Your profile exists to make WordSeoul more personal — saving your name, avatar, and stats so you can track your progress over time. Information is stored in your browser and used to improve your experience in-game.
